Product limits rather than plan limits. Every plan gets the same numbers here.
- Recording length
- One session stops at about 70,000 words, roughly eight to ten hours of speech. Praesto tells you on screen.
- Documents
- 30 MB a file, 200 MB stored in one session. Files over 8 MB are made smaller on the way in.
- File types
- PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, CSV, plain text and Markdown.
- Chat
- 100 chat threads in one session, and 16,000 characters in one message.
- Imports
- A photo for Schedule up to 12 MB, a calendar file or feed up to 5 MB, and an Anki deck up to 50 MB to bring in.

Do I need a card to start?
No. The app is a free download, and everything on the Free plan works without one.
How long are the trials?
Seven days on Essential and thirty days on Pro. A trial is for new subscribers, once per person. If you have subscribed to Praesto before, through the App Store or the web, it does not apply again.
Where do I subscribe?
On the web at praestologica.com/billing, or in the app through the App Store. Prices differ by place: $9.99 and $12.99 a month on the web, $11.99 and $14.99 in the App Store. The free trials are the same. The app itself stays a free download.
Can I move from Essential to Pro?
Not in one step yet. Cancel Essential and you keep it until the month you have paid for ends. Then start Pro. The trial is for new subscribers, so Pro starts paid. Or write to us and we will sort it out for you.
What happens when I reach an allowance?
That feature waits for the new month, when the allowance refills. Two things work differently. The four-session limit is a standing one, so deleting a session frees the slot straight away. And anything the table marks with a dash stays that way until you upgrade. It does not arrive with a new month. On Essential and Pro, chat carries on with the lighter model and never stops, while the heavier jobs wait. Nothing you have already made is taken away.
What happens to my work if I stop paying?
Everything you have made stays readable. You keep the month you have paid for, and the paid features stop at the end of it.
